1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Krosstabs ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Local-First Architecture & Data Liability

Krosstabs operates on a "Local-First" basis. You acknowledge that:

• Your raw data (CSVs) is stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB).
• Krosstabs does not back up your raw data to the cloud.
• If you clear your browser cache or lose your device, your data cannot be recovered by us.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your own data.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the monthly fee associated with your selected tier (Standard or Professional).
• Comply with our Fair Use Policy for features marked as "Unlimited".
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case, but generally we offer a "fair use" refund policy if requested within 7 days.

4. Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Krosstabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Service.

5. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
